Bella's Story

If you have beagle experience and you're looking for a young, silly, energetic beagle girl, we may have just what you're looking for - Bella! A 17 month old bundle of beagle puppy energy and love is looking for a family with the energy and patience to raise a young beagle baby girl.

Bella is an active young beagle with plenty of puppy energy. She does slow down to eat her meals and take a nap. She loves running and barking with the children and other dogs in their fenced in back yard all day long. When it's time to come back in, she develops a typical "Beagle Hearing Loss" for a short while. Bella is crate trained keeping it clean and dry. She sleeps thru the night in her crate and will take short rests there during the day. Bella is doing very well perfecting her house-training skills, but this will need to be completed in her forever home.

Bella is young, very curious and still learning. While her foster family is working on obedience skills, these areas will need a patient but steady family to instill consistent training and structure. A free-standing home with a fenced in yard so she can explore and run off some of her energy is a huge plus. Another dog to help teach her "Doggie" skills and children will assist her expelling some of her energy. Her new family should enjoy long daily walks and outdoor time along with indoor play with soft toys. Experienced beagle owners understand the need to construct boundaries and expectations along with the appropriate rewards for great behavior. It's truly magic once they put it all together.

If Bella seems like she's a perfect match for your family, get the Adoption Process started by submitting a Dog Adoption Application that's found on our website www.happypawsrescue.org under the ADOPT tab.

If you believe Bella is the beagle you are looking for, begin the Adoption Process by submitting the Dog Adoption Application found on our website www.happypawsrescue.org under the ADOPT tab.

Thinking about adopting me? We specialize in the rescue of dogs and cats from high-kill shelters where the prospect of permanent placement is unlikely. We also serve as an educational resource for the public regarding the prevention of cruelty to animals, in addition to spay and neuter awareness to reduce the population of homeless and stray dogs and cats. By working with committed volunteers and veterinarians, we provide all dogs and cats in our care with medical attention and a safe haven prior to placement in their permanent, loving homes.
