Bella Blueberry's Story

Meet Bella Blueberry. Bella Blueberry's Goal in Life is to cuddle as much as she can, as often as she can. She is *extremely* affectionate and if you would just let her crawl right up into your lap and rest her head underneath your chin she would be a happy happy girl.
Bella Blueberry--aka Bella B, Blue or Blueberry, she doesn't really care what you call her because chances are she's only going to be about a foot away anyway.
We know that she looks like a solid black springer spaniel, but she is not. She is only 24lbs and this beauty is a working english cocker, which means she has a pretty easy care coat and some wiggly giggly energy--it is pretty much impossible for her to NOT be wagging her her little nub tail at 900 miles per minute, 24/7. She is about a year old and is completely potty trained. She will even helpfully paw at the door when she wants you to let her out.
Bella B gets along with other dogs and cats (though she is verrryyyy interested in the cats and they may not appreciate that). To be honest, we haven't seen a creature or person that Bella Blueberry hasn't immediately tried to kiss and then flop right over for belly rubs.
We found out through her vetting process that Miss B has heartworms--booooooo. That means that she will need to start treatment soon that will be covered by CSRA/SA at one of our vets. This treatment will likely need to start in October/November and will last through the holiday season, so this is something to consider if you are interested in adoption.
Our adoptions require an approved application which you can find on our website at austincockerrescue.org If you already have an approved application, you can email us at woof@austincockerrescue.org We adopt to within the state of Texas only.
