Bella's Story
Meet Bella!
Bella is a 4-year-old Maltese mix with the heart of a gentle old soul and the sweetest disposition you could ask for. Weighing just 15 pounds, she’s the perfect size for cozy couch cuddles, or quietly following you as your loyal little shadow.
With her gorgeous long blonde coat and soulful golden eyes, Bella is truly a showstopper. Her coat is hypoallergenic, and we believe she may be a Maltese or Lhasa Apso mix. Calm, sweet, and affectionate, Bella is a sensitive girl who bonds deeply with her people.
Bella can be shy and a bit skittish with new people, especially at first. She will need a patient, understanding adopter who is willing to give her the time and space she needs to decompress, build trust, and gain confidence at her own pace. Because of this, Bella would do best in a quiet household with minimal comings and goings of strangers.
She is fully house-trained and well-mannered in the home. Bella enjoys leisurely backyard exploration followed by snuggling up for peaceful cuddle time. She does well with other dogs, cats, and older children, making her a lovely companion in a calm, respectful environment.
Bella does have separation anxiety and struggles when left alone, including in a crate. She is comfortable resting in her crate when her people are home, but she will need an adopter who is home most of the time and willing to patiently help her work through her anxiety with consistency and reassurance.
Health-wise, Bella is spayed and up to date on all vaccinations. She was rescued from the Palmdale shelter along with her baby, Fiona, and proved to be an incredible mama. Now that her puppy is grown, it’s Bella’s turn to be cherished.
If you’re searching for a gentle, devoted companion and have a calm home where Bella can truly feel safe and secure, she’s ready to meet you and begin her happily-ever-after.
