Bella is a mix breed spayed female approximately 7 years old and weighs 104 pounds.<br/><br/>Bella is by no means a Ridgeback. She is a dog, an all-American dog of non-descript origin. The kind of dog you would expect to find beside a young boy in a Norman Rockwell painting. If you want a trusting, loyal and affectionate companion, then Bella is the perfect dog.<br/><br/>Animal control shelters can only allow a limited time for dogs in their care and when the dog is surrendered by the owner that time is very limited. There are a few shelters that TIRR works with to the benefit of many purebred Ridgebacks. Every now and then a dog that bears no resemblance to a Ridgeback ends up in a shelter that has so won the hearts of the shelter staff that they will go to extreme means to save a dog. When they call, I cannot forget all the Ridgebacks they have saved by contacting TIRR. Bella is such a dog.
