Bella is a 5-year-old, 12-ish pound Cavapoo who is finally ready for the best chapter of her life.<br/><br/>Bella was surrendered to ACCT Philly after months of neglect had left her back legs completely atrophied. She came to us for a second chance, and during her medical workup, we discovered she had another problem: a metal wire in her stomach. Bella underwent surgery, and with lots of medical care, love, patience and time to heal, she is finally in a good and healthy place.<br/><br/>And this strong little girl has surprised us all.<br/><br/>Despite everything her body has been through, Bella is up, walking and building more muscle every day! She still walks with a bit of a swagger and a limp, but she is doing amazingly well and should continue building strength with regular activity and care.<br/><br/>Best of all, none of what Bella has experienced has taken away her sweetness. She enjoys spending time with our volunteers and is a gentle, lovely little companion who deserves to finally know what it means to be loved and cared for.<br/><br/>Bella has already done the hard part.
