Bella is a 22 month old ACD mix who has heeler energy and attitude through and through! At about 25 lbs, she is spayed, up-to-date on vaccinations and preventatives, and HW (-). She is fostered in Maine and available to adopt throughout the ACDRA coverage area to a breed-savvy home that can help her continue to learn and grow.<br/><br/>Bella was surrendered to a GA shelter in the fall due to “escaping” her unfenced back yard, and she has shown to be a “door darter,” so will need a very attentive owner or fenced yard. Bella can be vocal and is not a candidate for apartment living, has exhibited some herding behaviors so will need a family of adults possibly including children over age 12. Critical to her success will be a household experienced with smart, active dogs and able to work with her to cement life-skills and develop her mind.<br/><br/>Bella can excel at canine sports: she is athletic, smart, and eager to engage. She has shown the ability to be responsive and well- mannered in public locations. She does well with mature dogs and dog-savvy cats, may resource guard but redirects easily with verbal intervention. Bella is crate trained and cementing her housetraining.
