Bel (Belinda)'s Story

BEL: Bel was trapped and brought to the shelter in a semi-feral state. She has never been aggressive but is not very comfortable interacting with people. She finds her comfort interacting with other dogs. She will allow us to pet her (she goes down for this), bathe her and she will take treats. We have very limited time to spend with each dog, but we think she has the potential to respond with someone who has time to work with her. She is spayed, UTD on vaccines and heartworm negative. She is a beautiful, sweet soul who only wants safe shelter and a canine companion. She will alert you to visitors wanted or unwanted. She has enjoyed the kiddie pool this summer.

We do not have a full time shelter staff person but we are happy to meet people at the shelter by appointment 7 days per week including after hours. We expect our adopters to (1) Own your property, (2) Have a fence adequate for the dog, (3) Be able to provide a vet reference if you have previously owned an animal.
