Becky's Story

Becky is 8 years old and weighs 15 lbs, and she is a sweet little lady who is ready for a soft couch, warm cuddles, and the safety she’s always deserved. She has a gentle, affectionate nature and is happiest curled up next to her person, soaking in love and quiet companionship.

Becky is a Sato, which is a Puerto Rican street dog. Her story is a tough one. She was found abandoned in Puerto Rico in a dangerous situation where larger dogs were attacking her. After that, she was left behind in an abandoned house and eventually ended up on the euthanasia list. Thankfully, she was saved just in the nick of time, and now she’s safe and waiting for a forever home where she will never be put in harm’s way again.

She is currently working on crate training, leash training, and potty training, and would do best in a calm, loving home that understands she’s earned a slower pace of life. Becky isn’t looking for chaos or constant activity. She’s looking for kindness, consistency, and a cozy place to land. In return, she offers quiet devotion, gratitude, and the kind of companionship that only a senior dog can give.

Becky is being fostered in Baldwin, MD.

****If you’re interested in scheduling a meet and greet, please fill out an adoption application at: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/CPAR/Dog
****

PLEASE READ:

Any dog that is house or potty trained will still need patience in a new home, new people, and a new schedule.
