Beckett is a handsome male Shepherd mix born in February 2023, and he has already proven just how strong and resilient a dog can be. When Beckett first came to us, he was 15 pounds underweight. Malnutrition, a skin infection, and painful ear infections had clearly taken a toll on his body. Even so, his spirit remained untouched. Today, Beckett weighs 52 pounds and is continuing to gain strength, with a healthy goal of around 60 pounds. As his body heals, his true personality shines brighter every day. He is one of the sweetest dogs you’ll ever meet—gentle, loving, and so ready to trust again. Despite an unfair start in life, Beckett greets people with warmth and quiet affection, leaning in for pets and soaking up every bit of kindness he’s offered. Bulverde Area Humane Society's Adoption Policy

Our adoption procedure begins with the completion of the Adoption Contract, which can be downloaded on our website at www. bulverdeareahumanesociety.com Your new friend will be ready for their new home after review by one of our Adoption Counselors. All of our animals are spayed/neutered prior to adoption and have been tested for heartworm or feline leukemia / aids. They all have their age appropriate vaccinations. All puppies, dogs & kittens are microchipped. If you're considering adopting a dog who will join one already in your home. We encourage Meet and Greets. Visiting dogs must be spayed or neutered and have proof of current vaccinations. Talk to a staff member about scheduling your Meet and Greet session before coming out with your dog. And thanks for considering a shelter pet!
