Beba's Story

Beba, the Bebalicious!

Beba is a very smart and athletic girl who has lots of energy and loves to run around her Foster Mom’s fenced yard. She likes to chase a ball and is working on returning it more consistently. She is very fast and due to her strong prey-drive, she is not a good fit with cats. She’s good with other dogs and does well with people who like and understand dogs. An experienced owner would be best for this playful, funny, and independent girl. Training classes are critical for developing a bond with Beba and becoming a positive and confident leader for her.

Lately she’s been learning to swim and although she is a beginner, she really enjoys cooling off in the water when it’s hot outside. She also rides well in the car and knows riding in the car leads to special outings!

Beba does have some residual reactivity. This has improved since coming to live with her foster Mom, but from time-to-time, she will still bark at some people.

She does not have a reliable recall and Beba seems to be aware of whether a space is fenced or not. A GPS (Fi Series 2) tracker is a must for her, who has been an escape artist and has at least once jumped over a 6ft fence.

Beba still needs to work more on loose leash walking and is used to walking on a front clip harness, which seems to help with this.

Beba does like praise but since she is not super food motivated, being patient and figuring out her favorite rewards will help her learn new things.

If you are interested in learning more about Beba the Babelicious, send us a message and include your phone number (sometimes a phone call may be the quickest way for us to respond to you).

Beba does like praise but since she is not super food motivated,
