This adorable 3-year-old, 30-lb pup has the short little legs of a corgi, the beautiful coat coloring of a shepherd, and the most striking eyes — one bright blue and one warm brown. She truly turns heads wherever she goes.<br/><br/>But Beatrix isn’t just cute — she’s also incredibly sweet. Her favorite place to be is right next to her person, preferably curled up in your lap or being held like a baby. She’s a champion cuddler and loves quiet time with her humans.<br/><br/>Beatrix is already doing great with several important skills. She walks nicely on a leash and enjoys getting out for neighborhood strolls. She is also crate trained, which helps her feel safe and comfortable when she needs to relax.<br/><br/>In her foster home, Beatrix lives with two dogs and two cats and has done well sharing her space. She would likely do well in a home with other respectful pets or as the center of attention soaking up all the love.<br/><br/>She is currently working on house training, and like many rescue dogs, will benefit from a patient adopter who can continue helping her build consistency and confidence.<br/><br/>Beatrix would thrive in a home where she can enjoy both cuddles on the couch and leisurely walks, and where her people appreciate her affectionate, gentle personality.<br/><br/>If you’re looking for a unique little dog with a huge heart and lots of love to give, Beatrix might just be your perfect match.<br/><br/>If you are interested in adopting Beatrix, please submit an inquiry directly to Greater Charlotte SPCA by visiting charlottespca.org/adopt. The adoption amount is a suggested donation of $200 to $300 dollars based on the pet's age.<br/><br/>**Because our rescue is composed entirely of volunteers, local applications will take precedence. We will accept out of town applications, but any family is responsible for coming to Charlotte to complete a meet and greet. All out of town applicants will also have to be willing to drive to Charlotte to pick up the pet as soon as they are approved to adopt. **
