Meet Beary! This little guy is approximately seven weeks old, and we believe his approximate age was just four weeks when a good Samaritan stepped in on August 24 after witnessing him being mistreated, safely bringing him straight into rescue that very same day. If you are looking for a miniature adventurer, Beary is your boy. With his brown fur and big personality, he totally gives off Scrappy-Doo vibes! He is fiercely independent for a tiny pup—he will hang out on your lap for a brief snuggle, but when he decides he wants his space, he will let you know by wiggling right out of your arms to set off and explore. That independent streak aside, he travels around in style and actually enjoys being carried in his doggy sling when his foster mom takes him out and about!<br/><br/>Beary is growing up with plenty of action and great company. He shares his foster home with three older kids who are experienced with dogs, helping him get used to a lively and sometimes loud household. He also lives with three big resident dogs ranging from thirty to one hundred and five pounds, having zero fear and loving every minute of playing with his large foster siblings. He has even tried introducing himself to the resident cats, though since the cats prefer to run off and leave him hanging, he is learning to respect their space. Outside of the house, he gets amazing socialization by going to work at a senior living facility with his foster mom, where he is showered with love from all the residents.<br/><br/>Like any normal, spirited puppy, Beary has his wild bursts of energy and epic zoomies, but the best part is that he immediately calms down right after, walks right over, and puts himself right to bed in his crate. Potty training is a work in progress that is making great strides, and he is also actively learning not to use his puppy teeth on human hands.
