Bear's Story

Hi I'm Bear! I'm a five year old, female, husky and pit bull mix. I am a very sweet and affectionate girl. I was surrendered to the shelter for no fault of my own. I miss my family, but I'm excited to meet my new one. I still have plenty of pep and spirit even though I'm not a puppy anymore. I love to take walks! I'm a great walker and rarely pull on the leash. I am extremely food motivated and easy to train. I learned a lot with my last family and I've learned even more being at the shelter. I love kids and have been known to like other dogs with proper introductions. When I'm comfortable with you, I will lay across your feet with my belly up and ask for rubs. I give kisses when I'm happy and I have a great smile. I do have some separation anxiety when left by myself. My last family didn't leave me alone much and they said I was anxious when they did. If I feel anxious at the shelter, I will drool and bark. Thankfully, the people who work with me here are so nice, I have gotten a bit more comfortable. I like to lay on my bed and blanket and haven't chewed them. I feel good enough to lay down and watch the world go by sometimes. What else can I say? I'm smart, I'm sweet, I'm a great size, and I would love to be your forever friend! Please call the Grand County Animal Shelter to meet me! 970-887-2988
