Bear's Story
Meet Bear – Your Gentle and Playful Companion

At 15 years young, Bear is the perfect blend of wisdom, warmth, and wiggles. This distinguished mixed-breed gentleman (a delightful mix of Labrador Retriever, Siberian Husky, Golden Retriever, Collie, Beagle, and German Shepherd) is looking for a loving home to spend his golden years.

Bear may be a senior, but he’s mentally sharp, alert, and a quick learner who respects boundaries with grace. He doesn’t ask for much—just a short stroll (about a 1/4 mile), some tasty treats, snuggles on a cozy bed, and your loving company. He loves playtime – his inner puppy comes to life with a squeaker toy or a ball.

He’s a true sweetheart who adores children and has done well with other dogs. While we haven’t seen him with cats, we encourage meet-and-greets with current pets to ensure a good fit.

Bear would make an ideal companion for a family looking to teach kids about dogs. He’s calm, patient, and incredibly gentle—even knowing when to give himself space if playtime gets a little too enthusiastic.

Loyal, loving, curious, and content, Bear is ready to bring a steady, affectionate presence into your home. If you're looking for a mellow best friend who will love you unconditionally, Bear is your guy.

Let Bear show you how sweet senior life can be. Come meet your new best friend today!

If you are interested in adopting/meeting this pup , please complete our online adoption application that you can find here: https://www.starfishanimalrescue.com/adopt/dog-adoption-application . Your application will be reviewed by our team and if it is a good fit, we will send to the foster family to set up a meet!

The adoption fee of $200 will include spay/neuter, microchip, age appropriate/required vaccinations, treatment for heartworm and any other necessary medical treatment to assure a healthy new pup for your family.
