Bear's Story
This absolutely perfect gentleman is a one in a million dog!!

Bear had an unfortunate incident with a small child and his owners were faced with euthanasia or rehoming. We are so happy Bear made it to us and that we are able to enjoy him while he is here!

Bear acts more like a golden retriever stuck in a GSD's body. All of the traits that his shepherd foster brothers have, Bear has NONE! He is by far the easiest shepherd we have ever worked with.

He has perfect house manners, ignores cats, enjoys playing with other dogs, and is an enthusiastic snuggler! What more could you want??

Bear would make an exceptional first dog--and we NEVER say that about shepherds!!

Bear is 5.5 years old and in his previous home did have some behaviors that have since disappeared with the right environment and preventative practices. While his leash manners could still use some work, this prince has stellar obedience skills! Because of a history of chronic ear infections, we believe a home with children over 10 is best--he does still have a quick retreat when his ears are touched unexpectedly, even though they are free and clear at this time.

We can't say it any simpler--Bear is everything you could want, and more!
