Bear's Story

Meet Bear – Your Tiny Shadow with a Huge Heart

Bear is a 1-year-old purebred Yorkie weighing just 13 pounds, and he is as sweet as they come. This playful little guy is dog-friendly, full of personality, and absolutely loves to cuddle. Whether he’s chasing toys, following you around the house, riding shotgun in the car (he rides great!), or curling up in your lap, Bear just wants to be near his people.

He is both crate trained and house trained, making him an easy addition to a loving home. Bear would be perfectly happy as an only dog soaking up all the attention, but he also truly enjoys playing with his foster brother and sister. He loves having canine friends and matches their playful energy beautifully.

Sadly, Bear was surrendered by the only family he had ever known because they said they didn’t have time for him. His whole world changed in an instant, and he was terrified at the shelter. Thankfully, Legacy Humane Society had a foster step up, and he is now thriving in a safe, loving home. This sweet boy has proven to be incredibly resilient and full of love.

Now, Bear is ready for a forever family of his very own — one that will cherish him, include him in their lives, and promise to love him forever. He has already experienced loss; now he deserves a lifetime of security and devotion.

If you’re interested in giving Bear the happily ever after he deserves, please complete an application on our website at www.legacyhumanesociety.org, and his foster mom will be in touch.

Could Bear be the missing piece in your family?

Bear is Micro Chipped and will be neutered and brought UTD on vaccines next week.
We do not have a facility to house the dogs in our program. They are all kept in foster homes until they are adopted. Therefore, if you are interested in adopting from LHS, please complete an online application at http://legacyhumanesociety.org/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ and we will contact you asap about the status of your application.
