Bear's Story

Bear is a 6-year-old, tiny Pomeranian who is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. He is a happy little dog, enjoying the company of his foster Mom. Unfortunately, Bear is Heartworm Positive and is currently following the slow treatment, which is a once a month medication. He also has some mild seizures once in a while, so a person who is not afraid of this would be best for him.
Bear is very laid-back and independent. This poor boy spent the first few years of his life in an outdoor pen with other dogs until he was rescued by Nala's rescue. Bear has come a long way in his current foster home and we know he will thrive in a quiet loving home with some access to patio or backyard. He needs to be combed daily but no fancy grooming needed. He is good with other dogs. As often, young children are not a good match for a tiny dog like Bear.
To foster or adopt Bear, you must reside in our area, between Jupiter and Vero Beach, and fill out the application form on our website: www.nalasrescue.org
