He needs a calm environment and an owner who will give him time to warm up.<br/><br/>What Bear needs in a home:<br/><br/>- No other pets<br/><br/>- No young kids (he gets overwhelmed easily)<br/><br/>- A fenced yard or commitment to leashed walks until fully bonded<br/><br/>- Someone patient and experienced with dogs who need time to adjust<br/><br/>Good things to know:<br/><br/>- Walks well on leash and isn’t reactive on walks<br/><br/>- Doesn’t have separation anxiety or destructive habits<br/><br/>- Has mild anxiety in new places but handles it quietly<br/><br/>- Allergies are managed well with Apoquel (no recent issues)<br/><br/>- Responds to commands like “lay down” and “no”<br/><br/>- Likes relaxing at home but also enjoys hikes and car rides<br/><br/>- Has a thick coat that requires regular grooming<br/><br/>- Can jump 4-foot fences—should not be left in a yard unattended <br/><br/>Bear does enjoy his people once he’s built trust, but he’s not the kind of dog who will enjoy dog parks or busy homes.
