Bear's Story

MEET BEAR!

Bear is a 2-year-old Lab mix who is looking for his forever home!

Bear can be a little cautious around men at first, but once he realizes you’re kind, he melts instantly. He’s the type of dog who just wants to be included—whether that means lounging around the house or heading out on an adventure.

Dog friendly!
Bear does great with his foster’s two dogs, although he definitely prefers his person over his canine friends. He could do well as either an only dog or with some doggie siblings.

Still working on: Walks can be a little overwhelming for Bear because of all the sights, sounds, and stimulation. He is still cautious, but his foster is already seeing improvement with time and consistency.

House manners: Bear has had a few accidents in his crate while his foster is at work, but he has not had accidents in the house.

Fun-loving: Bear LOVES fetch and enjoys pretty much anything his people are doing!

Training: We’re still working on his commands, but Bear is VERY food motivated. The second he sees a snack, the drool starts and he enters what his foster describes as a complete hypnotic state.

And speaking of treats... Bear takes them like a HIPPO. He opens that big mouth, waits for the treat to be dropped in, and somehow manages to make it absolutely adorable.

Bear is a sweet, goofy boy who is still learning and gaining confidence. He would love a patient family who will continue helping him discover just how wonderful the world can be.

BEAR
2 years old
Lab mix
Dog friendly
VERY food motivated
Loves fetch
Gentle & affectionate
Still working on leash skills and commands

Could Bear be your next best friend?

Interested in Bear?
