Bean's Story

Meet Bean!
This five-year-old spayed female Pit Mix is as sweet as she is spunky. Bean is a resilient and playful house hippo who adores cuddles, splashing in water, and chasing bubbles.

Bean recently recovered from a case of bladder stones and is now thriving at a healthy weight after a significant transformation. To stay in tip-top shape, she'll need to remain on a prescription urinary care diet (Hill's Science Diet) and maintain regular activity. It's essential that her adopters commit to keeping her active and trim to prevent future health issues.

She generally gets along well with other dogs, though she may resource guard on occasion. She lived with children in a previous home and would likely do well in a home with continued structure and care.

Bean is ready to find her forever home--a place where she'll be loved, kept healthy, and given plenty of chances to play, snuggle, and shine.Big Paws of the Ozarks is a foster-based dog rescue in Northwest Arkansas. Big Paws of the Ozarks's Adoption Policy
All adopters must fill out an application on our website with all necessary information. From there, our staff will conduct a phone interview and answer any questions regarding the dog or the adoption process. Once approved, a meet and greet is scheduled with the family, dog, and dog's foster family. This is the time where other pets can be introduced. If the meet and greet goes well, we can send the dog in a trial adoption for a few days to make sure it is a perfect fit for everyone. From there the adoption is finalized through payment of the adoption fee and transferring of vet records.
