BEAKER's Story
He did well, this was my fiancés and I’s first time fostering together so we learned a LOT. Beaker loves being by his humans (adorable cuddles). He did best when given opportunities to go potty every 2ish hours (I’m sure he can go longer but that’s what worked for us) & did really well overnight while sleeping. He’s very curious about everything & wants to sniff it ALL so we kenneled him while we stepped out to run errands. He whined quite a bit but settled in 10-15 min. We’d come back home to him sleeping. He seems to prefer softer toys as that’s what he liked to chew on. He’s very treat motivated and with the right training/ learning boundaries he’ll be an all star. We learned his playful behavior, excitement around food and whining in the kennel are all very normal for a foster dog. He’s been at Bradshaw for 2 months so his routine/structure have likely been all over the place. Meet Beaker- Small Dog with Big Dog Energy

This compact powerhouse pup is bursting with joy, curiosity, and just the right amount of mischief. Beaker is a happy, energetic little guy who wants to be part of everything—especially when someone’s preparing a tasty snack. His mealtime enthusiasm is unmatched, and his treat-motivation makes him a star student in the making.

Beaker adores sniff walks, where he can explore the world one smell at a time. After he’s had a good romp and worked out all that wiggle-energy, he’s more than happy to settle in for some well-deserved doting.

If you’re looking for a spirited sidekick with a big heart in a small package, Beaker is ready to brighten your days!.

Beaker has participated in shelter playgroups and may enjoy a compatible canine friend in his new home. Looking for a buddy for your dog? Bring him/her to the shelter for a meet and greet and see if we're a match! Check out his playgroup video here:

Here's a video of him being cute with a staff member:

To meet me, visit the Bradshaw Animal Shelter Tuesday-Sunday, Noon - 5:00 pm, Wednesdays, Noon - 6:00 pm.
