Baylee's Story

Baylee is a beautiful 2yr old hound, weighing 60lbs. She has spent her entire life living in a sterile cage as a blood donor for cancer research, until recently. Baylee is slowly learning how to be a dog and how to live the pampered life as a beloved pet. She is crate trained, housebroken and walks well on a leash. She has done well with other friendly dogs and children 11 and up. Baylee would love a home with someone who is patient, loving and understands that she will take time to settle into a new environment. She will make a wonderful companion for someone who is looking to have a sweet shadow follow along. She is curious and always has eyes on her foster family, even though she is unsure of some of the busy activities in their home. Baylee would love a quieter household with a fenced yard so she can relax and build her confidence. A friendly pup would be a bonus. Baylee is currently being fostered in the Syracuse area with dogs and children 11+. If you can offer Baylee the life she so deserves, please submit an application. Puppy Mill Rescue Team 's Adoption Policy

ADOPTION POLICIES The Puppy Mill Rescue Team’s dogs are placed into adoptive homes within 60 miles of the foster home. We have foster homes in Rochester, NY, Buffalo, NY, and Macedonia, OH. When applying for a specific dog please check the profile to see where the dog is located. If you are not in this area and are looking to adopt, we recommend that you visit our Rescue Partners area or Petfinder.com to locate a rescue in your area. A legally binding Adoption Agreement must be signed at the time a dog is placed. The adoption donation varies and is included in the dog’s description on the website as well as in the Adoption Agreement. Adoption donations are not negotiable and payment must be made in full prior to or at the time of the placement of the dog. Please read prior to submission of an application for adoption. All potential homes must complete our adoption process which includes an application, meet and greet, home inspection and veterinary reference. Applicants must provide veterinary references if they have previously owned a pet and contact veterinary facilities to authorize release of their records to a PMRT representative upon request. Applicants who rent their homes must verify that they are permitted to have a dog and provide a landlord contact number on the adoption application. Landlords will be contacted in every case, no exception. The primary adopter must be at least 21 years old. We are solely committed to the dogs accepted into the rescue. We want to find them loving, permanent homes and go to great lengths to place the right dog into the right family. We reserve the right to decline any adoption based on what we feel is in the best interest of the dog.
