Meet Baxter! Baxter is a joyful, six-year-old Cocker Spaniel with a lovable personality and a whole lot of spunk. Hes mostly housebroken, crate-trained, and brings happiness everywhere he goes! This sweet boy recently tested positive for Lyme, but he was a champ with his medication and completed his treatment with no complications. Baxter is a devoted companion who loves his people deeply. In true Cocker Spaniel fashion, he has shown some protective instinctsoccasionally giving a warning growl if he feels another dog or person might be a threat to his foster momso hell do best in a family without small children and an adopter who understands dog communication and isnt startled by a growl.<br/><br/>He enjoys going outside but prefers when his human goes with him. With regular potty breaks and a little routine, he does wonderfully. If skipped, he may leave a reminder, so hell thrive with someone who can accompany him outdoors a few times a day. Baxter gets along well with the other dogs in his foster home and loves being near his peoplefollowing his foster mom from room to room. He settles nicely in a crate, though he may bark if he knows youre home and hes not with you. And when its time to come out? Paws Across Pittsburgh's Adoption Policy
If you see a dog or cat you think would be a great addition to your family, and you live in Pennsylvania, please fill out an application at www.pawsacrosspittsburgh.com/adopt We do not adopt out of state. Adoption fees: Puppies -- $325 Dogs: 6 months and over - $250 Seniors - $175 Cats: $75 over 3 months Kittens: $100 under 3 months Senior Cats $50 Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, routine vaccinations and tests, deworming and flea treatment, as well a microchip. We require 3 personal references and a home visit prior to setting up the meet & greet and finalizing any adoptions. We would love for you to meet our adoptable dogs and cats. Since our animals are in private homes, we do not have regular hours. Please feel out an application on www.pawsacrosspittsburgh.com. Upon completion of the application, the foster will receive that application and contact you. Meet & Greet are only established after applications are approved.
