Baxter's Story

Meet Baxter! Baxter is a 2yearold, 13pound male Terrier mix with a huge heart and an even bigger attachment to his people. He's the true definition of a Velcro dog—always by your side, following you from room to room, and happiest when he's snuggled up right next to you (especially in bed). Affectionate, loyal, and incredibly peoplefocused, Baxter bonds deeply and loves hard.

Because he thrives on companionship, Baxter would do best with someone who works from home, has another dog in the home or is around most of the day. He doesn't enjoy long stretches alone and can be vocal when separated from his humans.

Baxter has mediumtohigh energy and loves playtime, especially with other dogs. He gets along well with all pups and enjoys being a bit of a leader, so a confident, welladjusted canine friend would be a great match. He can also be an only dog if his person is home often. Cats are unknown, so slow and thoughtful introductions are recommended.

He's making great progress with potty training and just needs patience, consistency, and continued guidance. Because he's so attached to his people, Baxter may try to slip out during the early adjustment period, so secure doors and extra awareness are important at first.

Baxter has been fully vetted—neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, and microchipped—so he's ready for his forever home.

If you're looking for a devoted shadow, a snuggly companion, and a loyal best friend, Baxter might be your perfect match. If interested, please go to www.LOLR.org and fill out an adoption application.
