BAXTER, 3 yo neutered male Elkhound mix (best guess),40#. Baxter came to us from a difficult situation. He is an active, happy boy, well socialized with other dogs although he may be too playful for most cats. He loves people. Getting attention and interacting with humans is one of his favorite pastimes. Cannot stress too much how active he is. He needs a household that is active--walking, hiking, just out and about with him doing new and interesting things. He is very smart and should excel at agility or other training. He is crate trained but, since he was housed outside, he needs to be kept on a schedule for housebreaking. He is crate trained. Another dog to play with and a fenced yard would be ideal. Baxter's antics are sure to bring a smile to your face. This boy is ready for a new home and to have new experiences! Application at Submission of a completed application is the first step in the adoption process. If you have specific questions, email (preferred) or call and leave a message at 518-292-0555. $150 adoption fee payable at the beginning of a three-week trial placement.
