Meet Bauru! Bauru came to us as a stray, and was absolutely terrified when he got here. The shelter is a loud, chaotic and often scary place for young dogs, but Bauru has really come out of his shell and shown us just how sweet he is! Bauru was described by our vet as a nervous but very gentle, easy going guy. While he seems to be undersocialized and may be shy with strangers initially, he is a very sweet and affectionate boy! Bauru is learning how to play with toys, walk on a leash, and just be a dog. He would benefit from a family that will provide further socialization and positive reinforcement based training to build his confidence! He is very food motivated and is already learning sit, and appears to be potty trained. Bauru has done okay with other dogs in the shelter. If you have other animals in your home, we recommend bringing them in to do a meet and greet before taking Bauru home.
