Hi, I’m Batrick Swayze — yes, that Swayze — and I’m ready for the next chapter of my life (preferably one that doesn’t involve living under a porch).<br/><br/><br/><br/>For seven long months, I made a cozy little home beneath someone’s porch, quietly watching the world go by while I waited for help. Thanks to some very patient, kind humans, I was finally caught and brought to safety… and let me tell you, indoor living is much more my style.<br/><br/><br/><br/>I’m a black chihuahua with very big ears (great for listening for treat bags and compliments). I’m still learning that people can be wonderful, couches are magical, and regular meals are a thing now — and I’m making progress every day. I can be shy at first, but once I realize you’re one of the good ones, my joyful, silly personality starts to shine.<br/><br/><br/><br/>I’d love a calm home where I can take things at my own pace, with humans who understand that seven months of porch life takes a little time to forget. A soft bed, a predictable routine, and lots of kindness will help me become the loyal little sidekick I was always meant to be.<br/><br/><br/><br/>If you’re looking for a small dog with a big heart (and even bigger ears), I might just be your guy. Come meet me — I promise I’m worth the wait.<br/><br/>Batrick is GREAT with other dogs and is neutered and up-to-date on his vaccines and flea, tick, and heartworm medication. He is catching on quickly to potty training, but isn't a fan of going out in the cold. He does regularly use potty pads for now!
