Batman is a survivor with a heart of gold. He was rescued as a stray in Houston with a metal chain embedded into his body. Despite the neglect he endured, he never lost his gentle spirit. With proper care and love, Batman has completely blossomed into a happy, affectionate, and loyal boy. Today, he is healthy, thriving, and ready for his forever home. Batman weighs between 55 and 60 pounds and has a sleek, athletic build. He appears to be a Basenji mix, possibly blended with a Terrier or American Staffordshire type breed. His tall ears, expressive eyes, and striking red and white coat make him unforgettable. Personality wise, Batman is the total package. He loves car rides and exploring new places. Park adventures, neighborhood walks, or simply riding shotgun with his person are his favorite things. He bonds deeply and has formed a special connection with his foster dad. Once he trusts you, he is incredibly devoted. He enjoys playtime, toys, and being active, but he also settles nicely and loves relaxing near his people. Our process is designed to ensure the best match between pets and adopters, fostering a successful and loving partnership. 1. Adoption Application: Fill out our adoption application form, which helps us understand your lifestyle, experience with pets, and what you’re looking for in a companion. This form is available on our website or can be emailed to you upon request. 2. Application Review & Interview: Once we receive your application, our team will review it and schedule an interview. This may be conducted over the phone, via video call, or in person. During this conversation, we’ll clarify any questions you may have and discuss the specific needs and personality of the pet you’re interested in adopting. We want to ensure that both you and the pet are the perfect match. 3. Virtual Meet and Greet / Home Check: We conduct a virtual meet and greet via FaceTime or video call. This allows you to meet the pet and ask any questions about their behavior, needs, and compatibility with your household. During this call, our team will also conduct a virtual home check to ensure the environment is safe and suitable for your new companion. It’s a great opportunity for both parties to interact and ensure a smooth transition for the pet. 4. Application Approval: Once all the steps are completed, and both parties feel confident, we will notify you of the approval status. If approved, we will coordinate the next steps to finalize the adoption. 5. Adoption Contract: After approval, you will be asked to sign an adoption contract. This document outlines the adopter’s commitment to the pet’s care and well-being and details our ongoing support for you as the adopter.
