Bashful's Story
Bashful is a very shy girl who is currently working on building confidence around people and other dogs. She was on the loose for a long time and had to be trapped by animal control to get her into the shelter. She does not seem to want to run away, she mostly wants to be in her crate, which she has made her “safe zone”. She has a lot of anxiety and we are working on helping her adjust to people and other dogs. Right now she is very attached to one person and does not feel comfortable with others. We are still working with her and trying to get a better handle on what exactly she needs and what we can do to get her less anxious. Currently she would need an experience dog owner who would need to work with her to overcome her anxiety issues.
