Bash's Story

Meet Bash — A Sweet Soul Looking for His Safe Place

Bash is a 2-year-old Chihuahua/Pittie mix with the biggest heart tucked inside a small, shy frame. This little guy hasn’t had an easy start. When he first came into rescue, he was curled in a fetal position, scared and shut down. But with time, kindness, and consistency, Bash has begun to bloom — and now he’s ready for someone to help him continue that journey.

Bash is fully house-trained, walks beautifully on a leash, and is doing wonderfully with his crate training (he’s comfortable for up to about 3 hours). He gets along great with other dogs and truly shines when he has confident canine friends around him.

He is, however, a tender and sensitive soul. New environments overwhelm him at first, and he’ll need an adopter who understands that trust takes time. With patience and a gentle approach, Bash becomes an incredibly loving companion — the sweetest little lap dog you could ever hope for.

Because he does get anxious when left alone and can become vocal, Bash isn’t the best match for apartment living or homes with close neighbors. A calmer, stable environment where he can feel secure will help him continue to gain confidence.

Bash has already come so far. Now he just needs someone willing to take a chance on him - someone with a big heart who can offer love, patience, and a safe place to land. In return, he’ll give you loyalty, affection, and the purest kind of gratitude. He is neutered, microchipped, up to date on all vaccines and monthly preventatives.

If you believe in rooting for the underdog, Bash is your boy!
