Meet Bart
Meet Bart!! Bart is one of the sweetest boys you’ll ever meet. So incredibly gentle, with even the littlest kids and babies. He will be your shadow all day long following you around with his big loving eyes and happy swishy tail, waiting for a head scratch and some love. He holds the best of both worlds, with the ability to be super playful and also very affectionate and snuggly.
With his gentle side comes his love of stuffed animals and soft toys. He is known to go around collecting soft things, and making his own pile of snuggles….his favorite are his people’s socks! He won’t chew them, he just likes to hold them. ??
He is fantastically crate trained, and will go right in and stay in without barking. He is truly the biggest love, and deserves an amazing family who can give him the attention and love he craves.
He was his fosters 5 year olds sons favorite play mate, and would follow him around on adventures in the backyard all day long if he could.
He would do best in a home with an active family, without other dominant animals, who can play with him often, and would thrive with children to keep him entertained. He has done wonderfully in shelter with every dog he meets but large male dogs seem to make him nervous.
Bart is just a big sweetheart! Bart was rescued in Puerto Rico when he was being attacked by a pack of dogs on the street. He does great with smaller male dogs and any size female dogs but is leery of larger male dogs (most likely because of the attack).
Sit in a chair and Bart will bury his head in your lap for ear scratches and cuddles. Take him in the yard and he will chase a ball, nose to the ground for awhile and then come settle next to you.
He craves affection and would be so happy to just hang around his human friends or play in the yard with some fun kids, or cozy up next to a friendly dog!
Bart is about 2.5 years old and 50-55 pounds and is completely vetted. He would do best in a without cats.
Unless otherwise stated all dogs and puppies have been spayed/neutered, 4DX tested(if age appropriate), Put on heartworm/flea/tick prevention, age appropriately vaccinated, dewormed, vet checked and flown from Puerto Rico.
