Barry McBear's Story
Meet Bear! This handsome guy weighs in at nearly 60lbs and has a friendly, outgoing personality to match his size. Bear absolutely lives for attention; he’ll lean his whole body into you for pets and loves to say hi to everyone. Bear initially came into us very shy, and has made a lot of great progress, but he may enjoy a slow and calm approach while he blooms in any new home environment! Have a resident pup at home? Bring them in for a doggy meet-and-greet to make sure they'll be compatible canine companions! Ready for a big companion with an even bigger heart? Come meet Bear today!

This pet is eligible for an Adoption Audition! What is an Adoption Audition? It’s a 5-day, no-strings-attached, trial adoption period. You can take this pet home to try it out! Interested? Come to the shelter any time during open hours and talk to one of our Customer Care staff!

Be sure to check the "shelter information" box on the listing to see if the pet is located at our Fairfax Campus (4500 West Ox Road, Fairfax) or our Lorton Campus (8875 Lorton Road, Lorton). Then, come in during our open hours!
