Barry's Story

Meet Barry!

The first thing to know about Barry is that he enjoys being around people and loves attention. Hes a friendly, affectionate boy who is always happy to spend time with his favorite humans, whether thats going on an adventure or relaxing at home.

Barry is highly food-motivated and eager to learn, which makes training both fun and rewarding. He enjoys staying active and would make a great companion for walks, hikes, road trips, or other outings. He gets excited when he knows hes headed somewhere fun, but with an enrichment toy or some reassurance, he settles in well and rides nicely in the car. He loves exploring new places and taking in the sights.

Barry enjoys belly rubs, chin scratches, nylabones, and stuffy toys, and he is good at keeping himself occupied. He can sometimes be enthusiastic when seeking attention, so giving him time to decompress and settle into a routine helps him relax and be his best self.

Barry has done well meeting children, but due to his size and higher energy level at times, he would likely be the best fit for a home with older children (12+) who can comfortably handle his playful nature.

Barry is a volunteer favorite and has a lot of great qualities to offer. Hes looking for a home that will give him the structure, activity, and affection he enjoys, along with a family to call his own.

*Adopters must live in Central Indiana, no more than 45 min from downtown Indy

*Please visit website for how to adopt: https://sketchymuttsandunderdogs.org/adopt
