Barley Bear's Story

Meet Barley!

Barley is very a loving Goldendoodle who's ready to add a dash of adventure and a whole lot of love to your life! The vet has aged him between 1 to 3 years and he still has all the frolicsome antics of a younger pup. He is a big boy, weighing 55 pounds, but doesn't know it and will sit directly in your lap.

Barley is above all, loving. He really has the sweetest disposition and loves human contact. With his affectionate nature, Barley will be your shadow, your snuggle buddy, and your best friend.

Barley has gotten along perfectly with his small foster dog brother. They play and race around all day. There has never been a single argument between them even sharing treats and toys. He has ignored the cats in the home completely. He seems interested, but maybe a little scared of them. He was also excellent with the child inn his first foster home.

Barley would do well in an active family and would love to hike. He will need better training though as he seems like he has had little experience on a leash. He also needs basic obedience training, asm he only knows "sit." His favorite thing will be sitting next to you or on you though!

I'd say Barley's strengths are his sweetness and love. He just really naturally loves hard. Another strength is that we have seen ZERO aggression from him. His much smaller foster dog brother takes toys right out of his mouth and he doesn't care. He really has been an angel. His weakness would be his training.

Barley will be neutered. He has had his first round of vaccines and will need his boosters. He tested heart worm negative. Fecal negative. He has been given flea treatment.

Because Barley is a large dog, the adoptive home must be owned and backyard fenced in.
