This handsome boy came to us shy, nervous, and unsure of the world around him, but every day he’s learning that people can be kind and that life can be fun!<br/><br/>Barley is slowly coming out of his shell and showing us his goofy, playful side — especially when he’s in playgroup with his brother, **Pickles**. The two have a wonderful bond, and Barley would likely do great in a home with another confident, friendly dog (or even better, maybe Pickles himself if you’re looking for a pair!).<br/><br/>Because of his past, Barley will need a patient, experienced adopter — ideally someone familiar with huskies and their independent, clever nature. He’ll need a **very secure, 6ft fenced yard**, as he has a bit of a history as an escape artist. Once he feels safe and comfortable, he’s affectionate, silly, and just wants to be part of the fun.<br/><br/>Barley is still learning about leash walking and indoor life, as he previously lived outside in a kennel, but he’s eager to learn and already making great progress with our staff and volunteers.<br/><br/>Barley will be **neutered before heading to his forever home.**<br/><br/>If you have the time, patience, and heart to help Barley continue his journey from shy to shining, he’ll reward you with endless love and loyalty. ?<br/><br/>?
