Meet Barkley! <br/><br/>Barkley is an 8 month old Heeler mix with a pretty incredible story. He was born in a feral colony and wasn’t trapped until he was about 6 months old. Since then, he has spent the last two months in a loving foster home and he has come such a LONG way! <br/><br/>Barkley is understandably timid when he first meets new people, but once he realizes he’s safe, he starts to warm up and show you his sweet personality. He’s learning that the world isn’t such a scary place, and every new experience is helping build his confidence.<br/><br/>He’s even discovering that outings can be fun! Barkley is beginning to learn how to walk on a leash and is really starting to enjoy his daily adventures. <br/><br/>He is crate trained, house trained, neutered, and up to date on his vaccines.<br/><br/>Barkley will need a patient, understanding family willing to continue helping him build confidence at his own pace. He may not be the dog who runs up to you and immediately throws his paws around your neck but watching him learn to trust, open up, and become the dog he was meant to be will be incredibly rewarding. <br/><br/>This sweet boy has already made HUGE progress in just two months. Now he’s ready for someone who will continue showing him how wonderful life can be.<br/><br/>Barkley is looking for his forever person and his forever home.
