He’s happy with leisurely walks where he can sniff all the good smells, food enrichment toys (snuffle mats are a big hit!), and short play sessions with toys… and yes, occasionally a shoe if you’re not watching 😉. <br/><br/>When the fun is done, Barkley is an excellent relaxer—he loves curling up in a cozy bed or on the couch and just being near his people. On leash, Barkley has been doing wonderfully and gets excited when it’s time to head out. He’s still building confidence around other dogs and appreciates space, gentle guidance, and positive reinforcement to help him feel safe. With slow, thoughtful introductions, he does well and has already made progress. Because of this, Barkley would do best in a calm home, either as an only dog or with a respectful, easygoing canine companion. With people, Barkley is a total sweetheart. <br/><br/>He’s social, polite, and happy to greet guests before settling down nearby. He’s done well with dog-savvy older children and would likely thrive with a family that understands how to read and respect canine communication.
