I'm Bark Twain, a 5 year old Mixed Breed who is looking for a fresh start and partner to help me write down my happy tails. I am super handsome, super loving, and really ready to make someone happy. I am an active fella, who would love to have a buddy to go to the park with, to go hiking or fishing with, or to even just hang out in the backyard with. I am a fetch machine and love to play, play, play. When I'm not playing, I love tummy rubbins and learning new tricks. I am food motivated and enjoy learning new things, so I pick up on new commands quickly; I am really eager to make my people happy! <br/><br/>I am a total ham and love any attention that I can get, so people of all ages are a-okay by me! Other than being just a smidge bouncy, I should be just fine with kiddos, if you are willing to make sure that I learn not to bounce on them! With other dogs, I'm kind of hit or miss, but no one is friends with everyone, right? I adore one of the girly dogs in my foster home and may be able to live with another calm, female companion. I would also be just fine being your only child and center of attention.<br/><br/>The most remarkable thing about me is the size of my heart and my ability to devote myself to the people I love. You can count on me to snuggle you when you are sad and play with you when you are happy. I will be your loyal companion for life!<br/><br/>Augusta Dog Adoptions is a 501c3, foster- based rescue. We take applications online and schedule adoptions in Waynesboro, VA. A $175.00 adoption fee ($300 for puppies under 6 months old) helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases (if old enough), microchipped, and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as dental work and major surgeries.
