Barbara's Story
Meet Barbara, this gal is ~ 7 years old, under 18 lbs, but has the personality of a younger dog. She is inquisitive, active, a cling level 3 of 5, ok with other dogs unless you are eating a vegetarian burrito on the couch she thinks should be hers and hers alone she will cop an attitude with foster canines (per pet sitter). She isn’t that way with kibble but all do get fed separately. Take away, eat at the table? Put her up when eating.

She was a stray that wandered up to an awesome couple in the midst of building/renovating a home. They gave her shelter, did all legal steps but weren’t in a position to make her a member of the family.

She has been spayed, she may have interest but we are highlighting her just in case and to raise awareness that older dogs are by far the best dogs ever. Not too energetic or all over the place, typically aware of kennel and some may have a house training start, less likely to chew and they just know deep down how lucky they are.

Www.Sosbeagles.org to watch for available dogs, the top pinned post shows current available. We can only pull dogs above 5 years if we have interested adopters seeking a mature adult. As a senior adopter myself the rewards-priceless!
