Barbara's Story

Barbara spent two long months in the shelter before finding her way to Southpaw Rescue. Just a year old, this gentle soul is wonderfully social with other dogs but still learning to trust people. It's clear she hasn’t had much kindness from humans in her short life—she watches from a distance, quietly longing for love, but too shy to ask for it.

Despite her timid nature, there's a spark in Barbara that says she's ready to blossom with the right person. She needs a patient, compassionate adopter who can help her feel safe and show her that love isn’t something to be afraid of.

Barbara is spayed, fully vaccinated, and microchipped—ready to begin her journey home with someone who believes in second chances.

If you are interested in meeting Barbara, please fill out an application here: https://www.southpawrescue.com/adoption-application
