Bandit Wayne's Story

Bandit was born around September 19, 2019 and weighs 38 pounds. Bandit is with us because his humans had a baby and there wasn't enough time anymore for Bandit. We are told that Bandit is good with dogs, cats, and kids however we feel no kids since at times we've seen him a bit nippy if he can't have his own way. So, this is what we've observed since he has been in his foster home. I'd say 95% of the time Bandit is a delightful, wiggle butt, fun and funny Cocker. However, as so many Cockers are Bandit gets snippy sometimes mainly when being asked to do something he doesn't want to or when another dog has something he wants, that kind of thing. So, he surely should not live with any children and he'd probably be best in a home without another dog or a home where the other dog is larger and on the older/calmer side so it doesn't irritate Bandit. There is one room here where he is welcome during the day and the humans and dogs are all in and out, but in the evening only a few dogs remain in that area. Bandit is really cute in that we go to the gate and say 'Bandit, it's time to go.' and he runs right out - good boy! Bandit rides well in the car and walks ok on a leash. Bandit will need a fenced yard or to be leashed as we were told he likes to follow his nose. He is just gorgeous and is good about being shaved. Overall, he's really wonderful and someone out there is going to love him as much as he will love his humans!! The Adoption Fee for this dog is $300.00
Adoptions fees vary based on adoptability. In general our fees include spay/neuter, all age appropriate vaccines, Home Again micro-chipping & registration, worming & flea control - a 'complete' pet. We accept CASH or Visa/Mastercard ONLY.

Joyful Rescues has no funding except for our adoption fees and miscellaneous donations. Pet care and vet bills are expensive - you must be ready to take on this financial (as well as emotional) responsibility. Joyful Rescues's Adoption Policy
By adopting a pet you are not only helping the pet you adopt but also others in or needing to come into rescue. Your adoption helps us to keep doing what we do to help area animals stop reproducing and find quality homes for the homeless while providing them the best care we can. Your new family member will take considerable time, attention, patience and money to be properly cared for. Think of your new addition as your baby!! It is not a lawn ornament to be tied in your yard or kept in a basement. Consider the ultimate size of a young pet, how big of a pet can you handle?? Are you ready for an adult DOG or CAT in your family? If not, do not adopt a puppy or kitten - they grow up. Are you prepared for unexpec
