Bandit's Story

Bandit is a 4-year-old, 75-pound Black and Tan German Shepherd who is ready to find a home that can match his enthusiasm for life. This handsome boy knows several commands, including sit, stay, down, shake, and catch. Bandit especially loves showing off his skills when a ball is involved—fetch is one of his absolute favorite games!

Bandit is an active, high-energy dog who thrives when he has plenty to do. Long walks, games of fetch, and backyard playtime are the best ways to keep him happy and fulfilled. He would love a home with a secure fenced yard where he can run and burn off some energy. When playtime is over, Bandit enjoys settling down with one of his favorite deer antlers to chew.

On walks, Bandit is a polite companion who doesn’t bark at people or other animals. He also enjoys car rides and has traveled for family trips and hotel stays, where he handled the new environments very well. He even likes water and bath time, which makes grooming a breeze.

Bandit is a loyal and affectionate dog who loves attention from his people. Because of this, he may do best with an experienced, active owner who can give him plenty of time, structure, and exercise. He can be a little cautious with men at first, but once he warms up, he becomes a devoted companion. He has been wonderful with a teenager in his current home and enjoys being part of family life, but because of his energy level, a home without small children would be best.

Bandit currently lives with an older female dog and enjoys playing in the yard with her, though his energetic play style can sometimes be a bit much. Because of this, a home where introductions can be done carefully—or where he can soak up all the attention as the only dog—may be ideal. Cats are not a good match for Bandit.

Inside the house, Bandit has excellent manners. He is fully housetrained, does well in his crate, and has never been destructive. He simply wants activity, structure, and someone to share his adventures with.

If you’re looking for a loyal, smart, energetic companion who will happily join you for walks, playtime, and road trips, Bandit might be the perfect partner. With the right home that can give him the exercise and attention he loves, this fun and devoted boy will make an amazing best friend. Bandit is neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped, so he’s move-in ready!
