Bandit's Story

Meet Bandit! Bandit is a 3 year old, 47 pound Australian Cattle Dog. This handsome boy is simply the best! Bandit will need a home with ACD or similar breed experience, as he is a very high energy boy and needs to work on how to appropriately communicate with people. More info on this below.

Bandit currently lives with 3 other cattle dogs and gets along perfectly with them. He loves to play, but is respectful of their boundaries. He does have a bit of a rowdy play style which may overwhelm some dogs.

Bandit walks well on leash and is working on his basic obedience skills. He is house trained and crate trained. Bandit is excellent in the car for short and long trips! He has been to pet friendly stores and was well behaved for those outings. He is learning to settle in the house after exercise, playtime, or training sessions.

We think Bandit would love to be a sport dog, he has so much energy and enthusiasm. He is trying FastCAT, Barn Hunt, and Agility with his foster family. Bandit can be very mouthy and will playfully grab at arms and clothing. He is not doing this to be mean, he just doesn’t understand the best way to communicate yet. We offer him a toy to redirect him when he tries to grab us.

Please contact EricaAndParker@gmail.com.

Complete an Application: https://www.acdra.org/adoption-application
