Banana's Story

Meet Banana Bread, aka BB.

BB is an approximately 4-year-old, 8-pound Pomeranian who firmly believes that life is better when experienced with her person by her side.

She can be a little shy at first and may need some time to decide that you are, in fact, worthy of her friendship. But once BB gets comfortable? Congratulations. You have been chosen.

She becomes incredibly attached to her person and would very much like to participate in whatever you’re doing, wherever you’re going.

Coffee shop? She’s ready.
Walk around the neighborhood? Absolutely.
Running errands? She has her tiny travel bag packed.
Sitting on the couch? She will be supervising from your lap.

BB has medium energy and enjoys walks, fresh air, car rides, and generally being included in the action. She rides well in the car and is perfectly happy to accompany her person on adventures, big or small. She also has excellent taste in food and is extremely enthusiastic about snacks, which makes her very easy to bribe... I mean, train.

BB is good with both dogs and cats and currently lives peacefully with two large dogs. She coexists very well with other animals, but let's be clear: BB absolutely believes she should be the center of attention. She has no problem sharing her home with other pets, provided everyone understands that she is obviously the most important member of the household.

She is currently working on her potty training and is already pee-pad trained. She is also working on crate training. BB does have some separation anxiety, so her ideal person will be someone who understands that being left alone is still a work in progress. She'll need patience, consistency, and someone willing to help her learn that her person leaving the room does not mean her entire world has ended.

BB would do best in a home without young children. The noise and grabby little hands may be a bit overwhelming for her, and she would much rather be someone's little sidekick.

Her ideal home is someone who wants a small, affectionate companion and is willing to spend time with her, bring her along on adventures, and let her become their tiny shadow. If you've been looking for Pomeranian pal who would happily accompany you to brunch, sit in your lap at a café, go for a walk, and then come home and supervise dinner from three inches away, BB may be your girl.

She's Banana Bread. She's warm, she's sweet, and she would like to be included in everything.
Gabs

To meet her please fill out an application https://www.welcomehomesanctuary.org/adoption-application
