Meet Bambi! This one year old 30lbs lab mix just wants to boop you with her big dark nose. She was rescued in Texas but is settling in well in New York City. Bambi loves belly rubs and play time but will also pickup on the vibe and knows how to chill. She'd love to be in a home with a dog friend to romp around with! Her foster says: "Bambi is shy with new people at first, but quick to warm up! Once she knows she is safe with you, all she wants is belly rubs and turns into an ultimate cuddle bug. LOVES being around other dogs and can play all day - rough with the big guys and gentle with smaller. Would be a great 2nd dog. See no issues with other pets or children. No signs of separation anxiety, fine with having her alone time to rest and take breaks from the action. Good appetite with no known allergies." INTERESTED IN ADOPTING? True North Pet Rescue Mission's Adoption Policy

First Step: Submit Your Application True North does not issue blanket approvals, we consider the needs of each specific dog when reviewing applications. If you don't have a specific dog in mind when applying, please note this on your application so that we can keep this in mind when reviewing. We require home photos for all applicants, but can accept a video replacement. Please enter as much detail as possible on your application, this helps us better understand what you are looking for and how this relates to the needs of the dog you have applied for. For puppies under 12 weeks, we require a care plan. This includes a plan for when the dog will be left alone, as puppies younger than 12 weeks should not be left alone longer than 2-3 hours at a time. Please Note: Due to the high volume of applications we receive, it is not always possible to reply to everyone. If your application is approved, you can expect the following. Second Step: Application Review & Approval 1. If your application is approved, an email will be sent connecting you with the dog's current foster. At this time, you may schedule a mutually convenient time to meet. 2. After meeting, you have 24 hours to confirm if you would like to move forward with finalizing the adoption. After this, if we have not heard from you, we will begin scheduling other meets. 3. If you choose to finalize, we will issue an adoption contract via email. Once the signed agreement has been electronically returned along with the adoption fee (which will be disclosed prior to adopting), you will be all set to coordinate for pick-up with the foster! Adoption Fees: Our adoption fees are comparable to those found amongst other well-known rescues in the city. We only accept electronic payments for adoption fees.
