Bam Bam Chi's Story

Let us introduce Bam Bam!!
Don't let his name fool you; this gentleman is a gentle old soul with the softest charm.
Bam Bam is approximately 11-12 years old, a Chihuahua mix who is fully vetted and neutered.
Bam Bam came to us on 12/4/2025 from a high-kill shelter after his owner surrendered him due to his chronic cough and chose not to pursue treatment. When we learned about him, we knew we couldn't let his story end there.
The few months he has been here have truly been a joy. He is calm, mellow, and incredibly sweet. He loves to burrow into the couch for an afternoon snooze or curl right up beside you like he's always belonged there.
Bam Bam is still quite active. He loves his treats, enjoys companionship, and does well with other animals, adults, and children alike. We genuinely don't think he has a mean bone in his body.
He is simply looking to live out his golden years in a home where he will be loved, understood, and never given up on when things feel a little tricky.
Now, we want to be transparent.
Bam Bam does fall into the "senior with notable medical needs" category.
He has a grade 6 heart murmur and a partially collapsed trachea, which caused his chronic cough. The good news? Since starting medication, his cough has drastically reduced, and he is stable and comfortable.
We understand that adopting a dog with medical conditions can feel overwhelming. But here's what you should know:
The sanctuary will support you.
We will help you navigate his health needs and ensure he continues living comfortably in his new home. We will cover the cost of his heart medication for the rest of his life. Even after adoption or foster placement, we remain available to answer questions and provide guidance every step of the way.
Bam Bam still has so much love to give. He deserves a soft couch, a steady routine, and someone who sees his worth beyond a diagnosis.
Who wants to give this sweet gentleman the peaceful, loving life he deserves?

If you're interested inBamBam please fill out an application on our website https://pattieswaggintails.com/
