Bam Bam's Story

Age: 7<br/>Weight: 35lbs<br/><br/>Meet Bam Bam! This sweet girl was rescued as a stray in Texas. She's a true medium-sized gem. Really calm, not spooked by city noises, happy to snooze if you leave her home alone. Bam Bam will fit in anywhere, she's ready for her forever home!<br/><br/>Her Foster says:<br/><br/>"Bam Bam (Bamy for short) is a sweet simple girl. She is a mature well mannered lady just looking for a place to call home. BamBam is about 7 years old and seems like she spent her time in a home before joining the True North family and coming up from Texas to NYC. She is quiet and gentle. The perfect city dog. <br/><br/>She is medium sized and perfect for cuddling up next to you in bed or on the couch. She also is a good leash walker outside. Not bothered by the cars or people going by. Bam Bam is housebroken and will let you know she needs to go out potty by getting a little antsy and getting up from her snoozing position. She really is a perfect dog! Already well trained and well adjusted to apt or house living! Bam Bam is fine with other dogs, but I think she would really love to be spoiled as an only dog. Or would be okay with another low energy dog that is more independent like herself. She has no problem staying home by herself either. She will curl up in bed and wait patiently for her person to return home. Bam Bam adores being hugged and held and will give you the biggest hug and kiss when she greets you. If you're looking for a quiet, calm, and sweet girl Bam Bam is waiting to fill the spot next to you on the couch!"<br/><br/>Bam Bam tested positive for heartworm and was treated before she left Texas. <br/><br/>INTERESTED IN ADOPTING?<br/>To adopt Bam Bam, apply on our website www.truenorthrescue.org/adopt and email adopt.truenorthrescue@gmail.com to follow up on your application.<br/><br/>PLEASE DO NOT EMAIL TO ASK IF HE/SHE IS AVAILABLE. IF THIS LISTING IS UP, THE DOG IS NOT ADOPTED YET.<br/><br/>Also, we have a very high volume of applications and we are all volunteers. We cannot respond to every application personally. Please make sure your application gives us a good picture of your family and the life you plan on providing a dog from our rescue. We choose a home based on the BEST FIT for EACH dog and approve on a dog by dog basis. Thank you!

True North Pet Rescue Mission's Adoption Policy
First Step: Submit Your Application True North does not issue blanket approvals, we consider the needs of each specific dog when reviewing applications. If you don't have a specific dog in mind when applying, please note this on your application so that we can keep this in mind when reviewing. We require home photos for all applicants, but can accept a video replacement. Please enter as much detail as possible on your application, this helps us better understand what you are looking for and how this relates to the needs of the dog you have applied for. For puppies under 12 weeks, we require a care plan. This includes a plan for when the dog will be left alone, as puppies younger than 12 weeks should not be left alone longer than 2-3 hours at a time. Please Note: Due to the high volume of applications we receive, it is not always possible to reply to everyone. If your application is approved, you can expect the following. Second Step: Application Review & Approval 1. If your application is approved, an email will be sent connecting you with the dog's current foster. At this time, you may schedule a mutually convenient time to meet. 2. After meeting, you have 24 hours to confirm if you would like to move forward with finalizing the adoption. After this, if we have not heard from you, we will begin scheduling other meets. 3. If you choose to finalize, we will issue an adoption contract via email. Once the signed agreement has been electronically returned along with the adoption fee (which will be disclosed prior to adopting), you will be all set to coordinate for pick-up with the foster! Adoption Fees: Our adoption fees are comparable to those found amongst other well-known rescues in the city. We only accept electronic payments for adoption fees.
