Meet Bam Bam (ACCT-A-237895)! This handsome fella is a medium-sized mixed breed with a beautiful brown coat. Bam Bam is looking for a loving new home where he can share his cuddly personality.<br/><br/>Bam Bam seems to be a real sweetheart! One of our volunteers found him unbelievably cuddly, saying he loved to rub his head against them and lean in for pets. He even enjoyed being wrapped in a blanket and snuggling! He also seems to be a good listener, and understands a few commands such as sit, stay, and go potty.<br/><br/>While Bam Bam can be cuddly, he can also get a little stressed and overstimulated in new environments. He's currently on some behavior medication and our behavior team is working with him to help him feel more comfortable. He can be a little strong on the leash, but walks calmly. He is very friendly and social and enjoys sniffing around the room, and once he is comfortable he will come over for attention. Bam Bam would love it if you would watch TV with him.<br/><br/>Bam Bam came to us from a loving home when his previous owner could no longer care for him. They said he is a "nice dog" who "likes people" and "understands." Daytrip volunteers reported: "He is the sweetest boy ever who loves to snuggle. He was so good in the car and laid right down. Mild leash reactivity but just want to jump and play. His tail never stopped wagging. We hiked 2.1 miles and he was so good. He never barked once. He was very curious!!!! Loved every second with him. We hope he finds a good home."<br/><br/>Per staff 12/13: Bam Bam was in an enrichment playgroup. Bam Bam was very gentle with the puppy and social. he greeted a dog selective dog and was trying to engage in social interactions. was very tolerant, rough and rowdy play, engaged with handlers a lot, very friendly and takes corrections well<br/><br/>Per Volunteer 12/7/25: He was sleeping on his bed when I approached then greeted me with a wagging tail. Very easily leashed him. Outside, I sat down on a bench and he hopped up on it with me and cuddled into me. Loves to give me kisses and take pets all over. He is such a sweet boy! Went to the photoshoot and was very comfortable dressing him in a sweater. Easily went back into kennel and took pets after unleashing<br/><br/>Per Staff 12/5/25: Dog meet: Bam Bam wasn't feeling too well and while he was facing Kyeland at first, he became more avoidant throughout the meet. Kyeland was cobbing when he got closer to Bam Bam. We opted to move outside so we would have more space for the meet, but when they greeted each other through the fence, Bam Bam snarled, so we ended the meet.<br/><br/>12/05/2025:<br/>When I approached his kennel, he gave me gentle tail wags and calmly looked up at me. I very easily leashed him on the first try and then he calmly walked out of the kennel. He has really nice leash skills and doesn't seem to pull too much. He has a very bad URI and was hacking and wheezing. In the play yard he is so unbelievably cuddly!! He just kept coming up to me and rubbing his head against me and leaning into me. I sat down and he stood in my lap, leaning against me, taking rubs all over. There was a blanket out there and he seemed so cuddly so I wrapped him in the blanket and he stayed like that taking pets from me for several minutes. He is not at all interested in treats however he is sick so that might have made him lose his appetite. He is very handler oriented and super sweet. No issues returning and unleashed easily then gave him a few pets. Such a sweet guy!!!<br/><br/>12/03/2025:<br/>Kennel Presentation: Bam Bam was at the front with soft eyes and a wagging tail. he was easy to secure and came right out once secured Leash Skills: pulls minimal to moderate Sociability: Bam Bam in the room sniffed around, marking everything in the room. i tried grabbing his attention on many occasions but he ignored me until he cleared himself out. after a couple minutes i called him over and shook a bag of treats. he ran over with a loose body and wagging tail and sat in front of me. he showed no interest in my treats but allowed me to lean dow and pet all over him. he remained loose as i touched all over. i offered him some more high value treats which he licked and dropped. he showed minimal in me otherwise and went back to sniffing around Play: no interest Dog Interaction: n/a Return to Kennel: walked right back into his kennel without an issue Color Level: exp gold Recommendations and considerations:<br/><br/>12/01/2025:<br/>Brought out for PE- easy to leash, moderate pulling. Very stressed/over aroused in exam room- pacing, whining, panting, jumping up/leaning against, mouthing arms and leash, jumped up/attempted to mouth chin/neck. Okay for PE, difficult to keep him still but allowed most handling. No issues returning to kennel. Started on behavior medication, flagged to behavior team.
