Balto's Story

This handsome young fellow is a 2 month old husky mix. Well, we think he’s a husky mix. There could be another similar breed in there instead (or in addition). Whatever his breed makeup might be we know he’s a stunner with beautiful blue eyes and a very sweet face. Don’t be taken in by that face though. When Balto’s around your feet are in danger! Hopefully he’ll understand soon that feet are friends, not food. He’s working on it.

While he’s not an expert in discerning body parts from toys and snacks yet, Balto is doing great with potty training. During the day he’ll go to the correct door to let his foster family know he needs to go out and during the night he’ll let them know from his crate that he needs to be let out. And once he’s outside he knows exactly what he’s supposed to do. When he does get up in the night he goes right back into his crate once he’s done and goes back to sleep until morning.

Like his namesake, Balto is great at running. But rather than pulling a sled he likes to run around and chase. He’s especially fond of running after his foster sisters. When he’s not running, Balto is learning to come and to sit. He’s not an expert in that either but sometimes those foster sisters are just too distracting.

If you think Balto might be a good match for your household please apply to meet him today.

Balto's adoption fee is $600! This adoption fee includes: his alter, a microchip, his rabies and age appropriate DAPP vaccines, flea/heartworm preventative, and a deworming treatment while in foster care.

If you think he may be perfect for you, please apply using the link below!

https://www.cognitoforms.com/NorthPawRescue/NorthPawRescueDogAdoptionApplication

**Unfortunately, we cannot adopt out to Canada at this time.

**We require a 60 minute adoption radius.
