Meet Baldur

Baldur the heart melter!

Meet Baldur! Baldur is in a foster home in Spokane, WA and can be transported to your area. (See information below in the Adoption Donation section.)

All you must do is meet adorable and delightful Baldur, and you will fall in love with this affectionate, friendly, and endearing little pup. Baldur is a bundle of joy who is always ready for cuddles and play time. Loving and affectionate, he gives sweet kisses and loves to wag his tail. Baldur prances when he walks and when he wakes up in the morning, he goes through a series of yoga stretches to start his day. He is happy to tag along on your chores; he loves to help with laundry! A social butterfly, Baldur is friendly with everyone, whether human or canine. He has done well with children of all ages as well as cats during his time in foster. His energy is contagious, and he will keep you entertained for hours. If you want a cuddler for cozy evenings on the couch or an outside adventure buddy to go on walks, Baldur is your guy!

An intelligent pup, Baldur is eager to learn; he picks up commands quickly and delights in showing off. He is crate trained; he relaxes in his kennel, willingly takes naps, and sleeps through the night. Baldur has almost mastered potty training (he has learned to ring the bell by the door when he needs to go outside). He walks well on his leash and has good recall skills. Baldur is food motivated and has learned his basic obedience commands (he loves treats and your praise equally).

His ideal home? Baldur's needs are simple: people to love and cherish him, to give him affection, and to ensure he learns the skills that will make him a well-rounded and happy dog. Adventures such as walks and games would be lovely, and he would cherish evenings cuddling with you on the couch. Lots of praise and human companionship. Kids and other dogs to play with would be a bonus. And he'd never turn down a treat

Adopting from Path of Hope Rescue

At Path of Hope Rescue, our goal is to make EVERY DOG. WANTED. We are primarily a volunteer organization that focuses on transporting pregnant dogs and puppies from Texas, the number one kill state in America. The dogs we rescue are in poor living conditions and on euthanasia lists in shelters that are inundated with unwanted animals. We want to give these dogs a chance and bring them to the Pacific Northwest to find adoptive, loving homes.

Our adoption process sets us apart. We specialize in learning about you and your family to find just the right fit for you. Our Matchmakers are not only good at what they do; they will also guide you through the entire process.

Our Minimum Adoption Donation is $550 for puppies under a year and $450 for dogs one year and older. We are a WA state registered non-profit and rely heavily on adoption donations to cover the expenses associated with saving lives. Our dogs are spayed/neutered prior to adoption; microchipped with free lifetime registration; and up to date on DAPP, Bordetella, and Rabies vaccines (when age appropriate) and heartworm and deworming. Adopters can also earn a $100 training refund if they attend (6) hours of any in person training course.

We are 100% foster based; our dogs are fostered in loving homes where they are house and crate trained and learn basic obedience and leash skills. Dogs experience socialization opportunities with people, places, and other animals, and they receive the attention required to become well-rounded, healthy, and affectionate dogs that they would not otherwise receive in a shelter environment.

Our commitment does not end when the dog is adopted. Path of Hope offers post adoption owner support including information on making the dog's transition to your home a smooth one; recommendations for Preferred Trainers; advice on pet behavior and wellness topics; Facebook litter groups to keep in touch with fellow adopters; and invitations to local rescue hosted events.

Adopters may choose to travel to Spokane to pick up their dog or use our monthly transport option, Puppy Delivery Express, for an additional delivery donation of $250. Puppy Delivery Express currently delivers dogs throughout Washington and to parts of Montana, Idaho, and Oregon.
